In 2014, for the first time we conducted research in cooperation with our colleagues from the University of Vienna, Department of Cognitive Biology, under the leadership of prof. Thomas Bugnyar. Jája Beránková, Kateřian Bílá and Saša Průchová visited Vienna in August and September and conducted experiments with free-ranging crows in the area of Zoological garden Schönbrunn. They tested responses of the crows to alarm calls in the context of varying threat of predation (in the enclosures of wolves, bears, antelopes and peccaries).
